07.28.10 Stupid Drive-Thru Attendants

How stupid do you have to be to work at a drive-thru?  I understand they don't necessarily get paid a doctor's salary, but come on!  How hard is it to get an order right?  Obviously pretty hard.  I went to Wendy's for lunch today as I was craving some chicken nuggets.  I never go to Wendy's and now I remember WHY!  I ordered my nuggets and specifically said "NOT the spicy, just the regular old plain nuggets."  The attendant said, "oh, yes, sure of course".... yeah of course NOT!  Well I didn't check the bag and quickly returned to work only to discover and entire order of SPICY nuggets.  This wouldn't be so bad if I didn't HATE spicy.  I tried one and couldn't even finish it.  The entire order was dumped in the trash and I was furious for the rest of the afternoon...not to mention hungry.  I will not be returning to that establishment anytime in the near future.

07.27.10 Rain, Rain, Rain

Today it began to absolute pour down in rain.  What was so odd was that it was completely sunny outside.  It was also so humid that my lense immediately fogged up; the result, was an intriguing photo.

07.26.10 Side Effects

So I knew during the first month on Clomed that I was allergic.  Now that I am in month 3, it is raging out of control.  Not only do I horrible welts from my hands up to my shoulder but also all over my feet and legs.  It is a painful itchiness that reminds me of when a body part falls asleep and the needle pricks that ensue.  On top of that, I am nauseous, I have a horrible migraine and I have been crying for 2 days straight...I just can't seem to stop.  It looks like this will be my last month of trying to become pregnant with the aide of Clomed.

07.25.10 Fort Worth History and Science Museum

Mom, Juan and I headed to Ft. Worth today to the new History and Science Museum.  They are currently having a great Davinci display and Juan couldn't resist showing his form.  We saw the Texas Sky Tonight at the Planetarium and Adrenaline Rush in the IMAX Omni Theater.  It was a good day.

07.24.10 Saturday Breakfast

Juan cooked us breakfast this morning.  It was delicious and the first time we've had bacon in forever.

07.23.10 Interstitial Floor

I am working on a project in San Antonio where the building was built with mechanical interstitial floors.  This type of design is often talked about, but it is the first time I have actually seen one in person.  I felt like a little mouse crawling under and over pipes, trying to squeeze through places not quite big enough.

07.21.10 New Toy

I finally broke down and decided to enter the SLR era.  My new Nikon D90 arrived today and I spent all evening playing with all the buttons.  I think I will really like it, once I learn how to use it; that could be awhile!  It is pretty awesome though.

07.20.10 Elliptical Machine

Juan wanted to buy a treadmill to get into shape, so my mom offered to lend us her Elliptical machine.  We borrowed Marco's truck this past weekend and brought our "loaned" machine home.  It wasn't working, so Juan went to get batteries today, only to discover it doesn't take batteries.  Guess we have the wrong owner's manual.  Now it is sitting lonely in our spare bedroom.

07.19.10 Abby Visits

Abby came to go to lunch with us today.  Her in-laws were in town watching Ellie, so she couldn't resist a girls lunch.  Janet and I joined her and we headed to Grimaldi's.  We girl talked about Janet's new house, Ellie's latest escapades and lots of girl stuff.  It was great to see Abby again so soon!

07.18.10 Brunch with Part of the Navarro Clan

Juan and I met Marco, Gracie, Prinscella, Isabella and Jaime at Breadwinners for brunch this morning.  The food was great and we spent about 2 hours laughing, specifically at Jaime's attempt to calculate the bill.  It was really good to see everyone.

07.17.10 Gay Bingo

Yep, that's correct, Gay Bingo!  We joined about 13 other friends at S4 on Cedar Springs for Gay Bingo.  We were Gay Bingo Virgins, but we had a blast.  Juan had never played bingo with daubers before.  The entertainment and outfits were great and Juan and Ian payed $10 a piece to put David Winfrey in jail on stage.  It is a monthly show that has been playing for 9 years!  I would definately go again some time.

07.16.10 Eclipse & Jakob and a Balloon

Yes, I dragged my poor husband to the movie "Eclipse" tonight.  It was the 3rd in the season, about Vampires and Wolves.  I thought it was great, but Juan had other opinions.  I do think the heroine made the wrong choice between her two men!  The photo is actually of Jakob the following day, but I have another photo for Saturday, so I am cheating a bit.  Jakob and his balloon is way better than a photo of a movie ticket.

07.15.10 Traffic Again

I had a meeting from 4:30 to 5:30pm in Arlington today.  We left the facility at 6pm and I didn't get home until almost 7:30pm.  Traffic was absolutely MISERABLE. 

07.14.10 It's a Bird, It's a Plane

Our last show as part of our season tickets at the Wylie Theater was tonight.  It was a Superman production called, "It's a Bird, It's a Plane".  It was a cute, amusing little show.  Juan thought it was the best of the season.  We tried to go to dinner at our favorite little pre-show restaurant, but it was closed down...not sure what that was all about, but we tried a new place, Fedora's.  It is Italian and delicious!  I think we've found a new pre-theater hangout.

07.13.10 New Creatvie Memories Toys

Creative Memories came out with two new large shapes for their cutting system.  I couldn't resist, and they came today.  I can't wait to use them!

07.12.10 Patrizio's Lunch

I was having a terrible day at work, so Juan took me to lunch at Patrizio's. They are having their $1 baby bellini special through the month of July, so we had a couple.... Juan a couple more. It was delicious.

07.11.10 Shopping and Brunch with Mom

Mom and I went shopping at Kohl's this morning and then met Juan at Cole's for brunch. We sipped on Mimosas while we waited for him to arrive.  The final game of the World Cup was this afternoon and Juan, Adam and I watched it all.  Spain versus Holland, Spain won 1-0 in overtime with a goal by Iniesta!

07.10.10 Danna's Baby Day

Janet, Abby, Sarah, Danna and I went to get pedicures at Posh in Plano and have munchies at TGI Friday's to celebrate Danna's 2nd baby bump. It was good to finally get all 5 of us together again!
